Gold deposit hosted is stockwork of quartz veins.

Widow Point, Nova Scotia

For Sale or Option

Property Description

The Widow Point Prospect, located in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, hosts high-grade lode gold mineralization unique to the Goldenville Formation of the province. This gold mineralization is found in strongly altered Goldenville rocks, rotated more than 90 degrees to a north-northwest strike. Previous diamond drilling in the 1980s delineated significant gold mineralization associated with an intense stockwork of quartz veining in highly altered slates, inter-bedded with greywackes on the flank of a granitic intrusion. Additional drilling in 2010, 2012 and 2014 have confirmed visible gold and significant gold intervals.

The project is in the heart of Nova Scotia’s gold country. 18 km to the west is St. Barbara’s Cochrane Hill Property, 8.5 km to the northeast is Aurelius Minerals’ Forest Hill Property and 13 km to the southeast is Signal Gold’s Goldboro Property.

Surface rights to the main area of interest are held by J.D. Irving Ltd. and the Crown.

The property justifies the calculation of a resource estimate, followed by further drilling to progress the project. Nova Scotia has an exceptional incentive program that, if awarded, could provide a grant of up to $100,000 through the shared funding stream of the Mineral Resources Development Fund (MRDF) to support this endeavour.
