A gold deposit on Nova Scotia's south shore.

Blockhouse, Nova Scotia

For Sale or Option

Property Description

The Blockhouse gold property is located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia and is owned 100% by 21Alpha Resources Inc. The mineral license covers the area where all historical underground mining activity occurred, including extraction from the Prest Vein to a depth of 90 m.

The primary gold-bearing structures of interest are formed by the intersection of fault zones and favorable stratigraphic horizons in the basal section of the Halifax Formation's metamorphosed shales. These fissure veins are known for their consistent mineralization, with some in the region having been mined to depths of 300 m.

Most of the gold came from the "Prest Shoot”, a segment of the vein located within a green arenaceous slate horizon. Available data suggests that the Prest Shoot holds the potential for an additional 10,000 to 14,000 ounces of gold to a depth of 300 meters.

Historically, the Prest Shoot produced 2,043 tons of mill feed between 1896 and 1935, yielding 3,259 ounces of gold. Assuming no dilution from wall rock, the average grade of the vein quartz was 1.595 oz/ton (49.61 g/t). The vein width varied from 0.15 to 0.61 meters (6 to 24 inches), averaging 0.25 meters. Wall rock samples indicated an average grade of 0.085 oz/ton (2.64 g/t).

In addition to the Prest Shoot, a 138-meter (455-foot) section of the north drift on the 60-meter (200-foot) level was sampled during operations in 1937 and 1938. This quartz vein section averaged 0.37 oz/ton (11.50 g/t) of gold across a thickness of 0.35 meters (1.15 feet).

The potential strike extension of the Prest Vein to the north remains largely unexplored, although the vein appears to continue for an additional 350 meters. Other mineralized zones similar to the Prest Shoot or extensions of the Prest Vein through Goldenville Formation rocks may exist in adjacent structures, such as the Centre and East veins, or in yet-to-be-discovered fissure zones. Further exploration is warranted to evaluate these possibilities.

In 2017, Genius Properties conducted a 7-hole drill program (644 m total) that resulted in notable findings. Drill hole BH-17-01 was the most significant, intersecting a 10m+ zone of quartz veining in a bedding-parallel fault. Two of the veins showed visible gold. Quartz veins were sampled separately from the host rock. Samples 317018, 317022, and 317032 returned 12.1 g/t, 7.08 g/t, and 22 g/t Au, respectively. Metallic screening of sample 317032 increased the grade to 25.7 g/t Au. Collectively, the zone averaged 1.06 g/t Au over 10.25 meters, from 36.0 meters to 46.25 meters.

In 2018, Genius Properties performed an 85 soil sample program on the southern section of the claim block that indicated gold distribution 700 m south of the historical workings. During this program, a medium-sized angular quartz boulder was discovered with lab confirmed results of 77.5 g/ton Au. No further work was ever performed to locate its source.

FUNDING - The Nova Scotia government offers funding through the Mineral Resources Development Fund (MRDF) that supports prospectors, exploration companies, researchers and projects in the mining sector that attract investment, help grow Nova Scotia's economy and create jobs, especially in rural areas. Blockhouse would be an excellent candidate for the shared funding stream of the program that offers grants up to $100,000
