Gold and tungsten prospect in Western Nova Scotia.

Westfield, Nova Scotia

For Sale or Option

Property Description

The Westfield showings are located along both sides of the Westfield River in Queens County, with excellent access via gravel and woods roads. The Jumbo Vein, a key mineralized zone, is easily accessible and outcrops south of Old Westfield Road.

The geology of the area features Meguma Group slates and metasediments, with a significant greisenized envelope hosting the Jumbo Vein, which extends up to 18 meters in width and several hundred meters along strike. The property has seen extensive historical exploration, with early underground development including a 22-meter-deep shaft and a 50-foot crosscut drift.

Past exploration has yielded encouraging results. Sampling in 1983 returned up to 37.19 g/t Au and 117 g/t Ag, with additional findings of tungsten (5.52% W), tin (1,200 ppm Sn), lead (0.55% Pb), and zinc (2.2% Zn). More recent work, including sampling in 2013 and 2017, identified further gold anomalies, with grab samples exceeding 2 g/t Au. A soil sampling program in 2021 confirmed widespread gold and arsenic anomalies, further supporting the prospectivity of the area.

Recommended Work Program

1. Geophysical Survey – Conduct an induced polarization (IP) and magnetics survey to identify deeper mineralized structures and refine drill targets.

2. Trenching & Surface Sampling – Target high-priority anomalies along strike from the Jumbo Vein and other identified showings.

3. Geochemical Soil Sampling Expansion – Extend previous soil sampling coverage to define additional anomalies.

4. Structural Mapping – Refine the geological model and determine controls on mineralization to optimize drill targeting.

5. Diamond Drilling Program – Focus on expanding known mineralized zones, particularly around historical high-grade zones and untested areas.

This program aims to build on past successes and systematically advance the Westfield project toward resource definition.

The Mineral Resources Development Fund (MRDF) supports prospectors, exploration companies, researchers and projects in the mining sector that attract investment, help grow Nova Scotia's economy and create jobs, especially in rural areas. The Westfield project would be a good candidate for this program.
